This study led by Kayla E. Ruch, MPH, CPH, HACP, CIC, Ph.D(c.) aims to evaluate current educational training competencies and gather information from current training and orientation practices of infection preventionists (IPs) in Texas. It is a 55-question anonymous, self-reported survey focusing on CIC examination rates, orientation, and training practices for Texas IPs. There are 54 close-ended questions and 1 open-ended question. The survey will take 10-15 minutes to complete. Survey should be submitted by the end of November.

Welcome to the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology. APIC members and stakeholders work in a wide range of settings, representing hospitals, clinics, long-term care, industry, public health and other related fields.
APIC-DFW's mission is to influence, support, and improve the quality and safety of healthcare through the practice and management of infection prevention and control and the application of epidemiology in all health care settings. This is done through education, collaboration, evidence-based practice, advocacy, and credentialing.
